Biography[]
Early life[]
Lily Baggins was born in Mirkwood (then known as the Greenwood) in a chamber at Thranduil's castle due to her parents' and siblings there on a diplomatic mission. As her mother and father looked at their baby girl, Mrs. Baggins saw a lily flower at her window sill and names her Lily after the flower and after Lily's father's great-aunt and also inadvertently also naming her from King Thranduil's wife, Queen Lily.
